Shimmy America is a comprehensive calendar for Bellydancing events.  It includes classes, shows, workshops, seminars and other functions.  We also include drumming events and concerts that present some genre of Bellydance music.  This calendar feeds into our Master Shimmy America Calendar.

It is free to use this calendar.  You must be registered to post events. 

You can choose to view events in calendar form, just the week, or in list fomat, by clicking the buttons in the upper right corner.  You can choose to view every event posted, or ONLY classes, drum circles, shows, workshops, etc, by choosing from the Categories dropdown. 

We ask that you post only events that you are actually organizing or participating in yourself, so that listings have the most correct info.  Please try to avoid duplicate postings for the same event by checking the listings already posted.  You may include links to your own website and/or to a Google Map link.  Pictures or flyers must be less than 1mb.

Any changes or corrections must be made using the email address you use to post initially....see our FYI page.

Shimmy America will remove inappropriate listings promptly.

Please proofread your submission for misspellings and writing errors.  You'll draw more attendees if your post looks professional!

Please try to be clear and concise--don't cheat your post, but an easy read will draw more attendees. 

Please include a link to your website, if you have one--you can write way more stuff there, and include a ton of pictures and what-have-you.  Use us to point to your own site--that's why we're here!

Please include a link to a map/directions.  This will help attendees find your event easily, and they will thank you for it!

Please include an email or phone number or some way for your potential attendees to contact you, in the body of your post.  We will NOT give your registration info to anyone, and neither are we a relay service for messages between your attendees and you.

Please doublecheck that you included the basics:  the address of your event, the starting time, the cost ($$), and a contact phone or email.
